What courses do we offer? 

 

The Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles provides learners with an introduction to the Forest School ethos and learning in the outdoors.

The Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants will prepare learners to support a Forest School leader.

The Level 3 Certificate for Forest School Leaders will prepare learners to learn practical skills and knowledge to work as a Forest School Leader

 

Level 1 Award in Forest School

Couse Description

This course is an introductory course to explore Forest School ethos and learning outdoors. We will take part in lots of activities that are relevant to forest school. Find out more about what lives in woodlands and how to risk assess.

Credit value:     3 credits

Guided Learning Hours:    25 hours

Total Qualification Time:    30 hours

Level 2 Award in Forest School

Course Progression: This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop an understanding of the principles and ethos of Forest School. It will prepare learners for further study and employment in the outdoors. It is designed to meet the needs of school and college staff, youth workers, parent helpers, students, and others in providing preparation for further development and study to becoming a Forest School Leader.

 

Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Leaders

Progression Routes: This qualification is designed to develop leadership, facilitation, practical, and teaching skills to enable learners to understand the principles and ethos of Forest School. It also enables learners to deliver Forest School programmes.

It is designed to meet the needs of school and college staff, teachers and teaching assistants, youth workers, adults, and professionals in training to become a Forest School Leader. This qualification will prepare learners for further study and employment in the outdoors.

Credit Value: 18 credits
Guided Learning Hours: 155 hours
Total Qualification Time: 180 hours
